We were upgraded on arrival to a king room, which was a good size and the bed very comfortable
this is a city hotel so many rooms face the street/road, however we stayed when the canucks were playing game 7 in the stanley cup and can honestly say that despite this we were not at all disturbed by street noise.
I liked the ease of checking in, and that the staff rose to accommodate some last second changes resulting from a miscommunication. They were also very accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage there after we checked out when we wanted to continue to explore the city.
There were no hair dryers in the rooms (which I had expected), and the bathrooms did not have exhaust fans.
Convenient location, especially when travelling without a vehicle.
this hotel is all about central location for a good price. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast was also very ok for a continental one.
Nice position to visit the City by foot.
Too expensive for the quality of services and facilities. The hotel, mainly inside the rooms, is not well preserved. Not much choise for breakfast and coffee is not good at all.
Location excellant, Staff friendly. Our rooms were well used but certainly very clean and tidy.
No Hair conditioner. Breakfast seating was inadequate on day one especially and a 20 min que for breakfast was a bit too long
Character Heritage Hotel, close to downtown Victoria, which was excellent value for money, clean comfortable and quiet. Staff were very welcoming, friendly ,helpful, knowledgeable about local attractions etc, and in fact were the nicest people we met in any accommodation whilst visiting Canada and Alaska, Our welcome on arrival by Cam at reception was especially enthusiastic, and soon after checking in to our suite he rang to see if we were "happy campers"!
Having to leave to go home!
Friendly helpful reception staff. Adequate breakfast. Clean room. Very good lOcation Good price for standard room.
We stayed in the standard room which was in need of gutting and renovation - as were the hallways. But the positives out weighed negatives on a budget. Also not advisable to stay out the front of the hotel as the street is noisy.
A lovely, restored older hotel with charm and yet clean and modern.
Friendly staff at reception, quick check-in.
Room was not as showed in the internet, small, sticky, dark, loud during night with open window...breakfast was terrible with plastic fork and knife (economically very unfriendly!!) and paper plates, were still hungry after eating, small buffet with low quality and cold atmosphere...it is not worth the price!!!
Friendly staff and a great value! Convenient to the downtown area without the costs!
The location, price and the rooms which are not like your standard left or right version of all the newer hotels. Beautiful old but upgraded facilities. Right in the heart of downtown Victoria at a really reasonable price. excedptional for a couple that is not impressed by false luxury and pricey rooms that all look, smell and appear to be the same cookie cutter variety.
NOTHING loved everything.
I liked the location of it, and how accessible it was to downtown and the places that I needed to go. I like that parking was onsite
It did not have the basics (hairdryer, iron/ironing board) in the room already. We had to ask for it. There was not a full length mirror or enough spots for luggage.the breakfast could have used some variety.
The hotel is in the process of up-grading. the room we booked through you was adequate, nicely furnished, but small. We up-graded to their newly re-furbished suites which are superb. Would recommend the suites to anyone staying more than 1 night.
we arrived late in the evening as we came from the airport and took public transportation. The gentleman at the desk was very accomadating. Was pleasantly surprised that a continental breakfast was included which made the already affordable stay even better. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is an older building probably need to update the furniture since it was very worn and dated. On the website it implied that there was a shuttle from airport which we took as being complementary but when we called for a pickup they said you need to take the regular airport hotel shuttle which was 19 dollars per person. We opted to take public transit which was 2.50 cad each and took a little longer but convenient as stop a short walk to hotel.
